How is the Wrangler configured to be a top-class off-roader?

When you stand in front of the 2020 Wrangler, you see the iconic round headlamps and vertical slotted grille front that pays homage to its off-road legacy. The framework of the Wrangler is sturdy, with solid steel frame, high ground clearance and compact box nature either coming in a 2-door or 4-door variant. We see 3 different trim levels (Sport, Sport S, Rubicon) with the Wrangler plus one extra trim level on the four-door cabin configuration (Sahara). The stock Wrangler Sport comes standard with features that already prepare it for off-road adventures such as underbody skid plates, tow hooks, doors and a roof that can be manually removed off of the exterior frame, handy foglights and a full infotainment system housing various system controls for the vehicle. Upgrading to the Sport S trim level brings in even more features such as a climate control system, leather interior styling elements, power windows, and door lock, upgraded wheel design, ambient interior LED lighting accents, power-adjustable mirrors that have heating elements integrated, and dark tinted rear windows for additional privacy. With the four-door cab configuration, the next trim level in the Wrangler kit is the Sahara trim, offering upgraded features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, additional LED lighting elements throughout the interior cabin, a larger 7-inch touchscreen display, additional USB ports for charging devices, and bigger 18-inch tires which allow for additional ground clearance and all-terrain traction. The Wrangler Rubicon is the ultimate model in off-road performance, taking in each of the features found from the Sahara for all cabin styles and adding on an improved suspension system tuned for off-roading, a 4:1 low-range gear ratio for better crawling up steeper surfaces, locking electronic front and rear differentials to help establish traction in tough terrain areas, a stabilizer bar that disconnects electronically in the front, additional underbody support with rock rails to help protect important systems, specialized off-road all-terrain tires, and more.

What powertrains are brought in with this model?

To power the 2020 Wrangler's off-road excursions, Jeep brings in a solid powertrain set that offers varying amounts of performance to tune to your needs. Coming standard in each Wrangler is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that is configured with a six-speed manual transmission and can produce up to 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Each V6 engine comes with the optional upgrade up to an eight-speed automatic transmission (Sahara trim includes eTorque technology). Jeep also offers a second engine option on each 2020 Wrangler which is the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine. This engine is capable of pushing out 270 horsepower and an improved 295 lb-ft of torque while operating at lower output rpm values compared to the V6 engine. Each inline-4 engine comes standard with the smooth eight-speed automatic transmission for a nice streamlined acceleration period.

What safety features are included?

Jeep also offers a number of modern features including tire-pressure monitoring, electronic stability control that incorporates a hydraulic assist boosting the brakes with traction control, Hill-start assist system, a rearview camera to assist with backing up, and more.
